100 Years Ago: April 15, 1912 2:20 AM
Finally with all of her lifeboats launched and water spilling over the top of her watertight bulkheads at 2:20 AM on the morning of April 15, 1912 Titanic broke in half and sank.
Catpathia would not arrive on the scene until about 4:30 AM, over two hours later.
Califonian had already drifted out of sight.
Gradually the cries for help from the people in the water ceased.
All that was left now was to wait.
